The new model of Honda Crosstour offers much more than anything on wheels can boast of

Honda’s Cross tour 2012 model is everything a car should be. It is designed to possess the characteristics of a saloon, SUV and sports car.  It has the styling of a sedan with the utility of an SUV and the agility of a sports car. These multiple attributes make it different from competing models in its market segment. According to Honda engineers, “the Crosstour is different because we designed it that way. Look at its lines and it could be called a sports sedan. Pack it full of load and it is a utility vehicle of sorts. Drive it and any remaining questions are instantly answered.”

The Crosstour’s multiple features will be of benefit to Nigerian automobile users. One, its 4x4 SUV features would  give the automobile enough ground clearance to manoeuvre Nigeria’s bad roads, while its sedan and sports features would bequeath the model with a stable and agile drive.

The Honda Place, which holds the franchise for the sale of Honda automobiles in the country, is using the multiple features of Crosstour to endear it to Nigerian consumers. “It has got all the unity of a SUV, but sleeker and more agile. It has got all the practicality of a sedan, but with a more aggressive and sporty stance. We call it the Crosstour. And with a 2.71 hp V6 engine and real time 4WD versatility and lots of luxury, the Crosstour has a character and presence of its own,” The Honda Place said.

The Crosstour is powered by 3.5 litre SOHC V6 engine that provides smooth and effortless acceleration. Its engine efficiency is enhanced by variable cylinder management system, which can activate and deactivate the engine’s cylinders as the need arises to enable the car have brisk acceleration. This maximises fuel efficiency and makes the transmissions between modes seamless to achieve.

The Crosstour has ample space for the front and rear passengers as well as the luggage compartment. The rear passenger gets plenty of room and their own rear vent and a flip-down center armrest. The interior has more than one way to make space for luggage. The seats could be folded to create room for luggage when the need arises.
