TONY EZENNA: Entrepreneur extraordinaire

This amiable executive chairman of Orange Drugs Limited has turned an erstwhile obscure pharmaceutical company into a respected outfit which has acquired an imposing range, comparable only to that of the very leaders in the industry.

For someone who started as an intern in his father’s Chemist shop, Tony Ezenna is an epitome of hard work and doggedness.  An astute and well focused entrepreneur, he has nurtured the Orange Drugs to an enviable height.  According to him, his foray into the Pharmaceutical industry was fired by the need to clean up the pollution in the industry.  The chairman said that he settled down in an area where he hopes his contribution will affect the lives of many Nigerians.

But it is not only in the area of Pharmaceuticals and healthcare that Ezenna is affecting the lives of Nigerians. He has endowed a scholarship for deserving students from his home, Akokwa in the Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State.

Orange Drugs’ range of products include: Procold, Dankos Mixagrip and Delta Soap.  This range of products has continued to make appreciable impact as household names.  The dream of the Chairman of Orange Drugs is to control a large share of the Pharmaceutical market in Nigeria .

Recently, the Company moved to a more befitting corporate head office in Victoria Island and there are plans to make the Company a big multinational that can hold its own anywhere in the world.

Ezenna’s philanthropy is commendable and he has contributed immensely to his community, his state, and Nigerian in general.  He has built a lot of roads in his home town, provided potable water, and contributed a lot to the completion of the biggest Catholic Church in his town.

He was recently awarded a chieftancy title by the traditional ruler of his town.
